Marigold or calendula received its name
from the Romans. They noted that the plant bloomed on the first day or "calends" of every month. They
used the plant for scorpion bites. It is effective for healing membranes inside the body.
Marigold is very versatile, speeding the healing of wounds, making the
skin more supple by increasing blood supply to it, and
soothing pain. It also supports both the skin and connective tissue
nutritionally.
Marigold is also known as:
African marigold,
Garden marigold, Calendula Officinale
