Kidney Stones

Kidney stones known as renal calculi are accumulations of mineral salts that get stuck in a persons urinary tract. 10% of American men and about 3% of women will get kidney stones at some time in their life. About 80% of all kidney stones are calcium type stones. Risk factors for kidney stones include: low urine volume, crohn's disease, diets high in oxalic acid, and low body pH factor. It is a good idea to increase the amount of good distilled water 3 quarts a day for people suffering from kidney stones.

L-Methionine Reduces the possibility of developing kidney stones by destroying free radicals associated with stone formation. Methionine works very well in supplements that also include omega fatty acids.
Magnesium Reduces calcium absorption and can lower urinary oxalate a mineral salt common in kidney stones. A good source of magnesium is a quality
multi-vitamin & mineral supplement especially one with zinc, potassium, magnesium and vitamins A, C & E..
Watercress herb very good for kidney, liver, and bladder health.
Vitamin B vitamin B's work together and when taken with magnesium help reduce oxalate problem of kidney stone patients.
Aloe Vera aloe vera can help in preventing kidney stone formation and reducing the size of a stone in an acute attack.
Vitamin C vitamin C helps kidney stone patients by acidifying urine and most stones will not form in acidic urine. Usually can be taken in a good multi-vitamin and mineral supplement. Be sure that it is not synthetic vitamin C.
Vitamin E a powerful anti-oxidant
Vitamin A promotes healing of the urinary tract which is often damaged by kidney stones you can get vitamin A in a natural carotenoid complex.
Multi-vitamin maintain balance of all nutrients needed by the body and assist in imbalances that cause kidney stones to occur.
